Corbett was the first wildlife sanctuary which became the tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1973. It became the national park in 1936. Corbett is situated in Himalayan trek foothills and is a home of various flora and fauna. Corbett Tiger Reserve has very good numbers of tigers, elephants and leopards.
